What faucet to use for which bathroom style

The choice of tap in a kitchen will heavily influence the style that you have chosen and can effectively add the final glint to your new masterpiece of a room.

Classic

In many cases and with a variety of textures, classical hardware will add the glamour and understated elegance that is classical styling. Rounded, but timeless. Functional yet elegant: placing the perfect tap in a graceful room is at once significant and subtle.

Whether your taste leans toward a mixer or in favour of separate taps, the look is likely to be sleek and simple. Focusing on touch mechanisms and minimalistic styling with a polished and classy look, overhead or side pin handles on elongated spouts create effortless handling and refined aesthetics that withstand the test of time.

Traditional

Traditional or "old-fashioned" styled taps will command attention in a kitchen. With this purpose in mind, they are likely to be ornate and busy in detail, making use of a popular trend toward brass or copper material. These dated features are likewise enhanced by the integration of porcelain or bone detail.

The traditionally styled taps of nowadays are fully functional despite their vintage look and customers can rely on high tech use of material and ergonomics to rival any other look of tap.

Modern

The genre of modernism bases much of its look on functionality. Key to this style of kitchen are stark lines and minimal detailing, with handle-less cupboards and integrated sinks etc. With this in mind, the taps in a modern kitchen should be barren and neat. Sleek lines will enhance the need for function and, ironically, often create beauty as a singular design element.

Mixers would be perfect whether teamed with angular or curved spouts. Simpler-looking mechanisms and easy pouring are key elements.

Professional

a professional looking kitchen is a relative newcomer to the world of culinary design. Hard wearing elements like aluminum and open shelving coupled with hi tech appliances create a busy and extreme environment. The perfect accessory for this type of environment is the retractable spray mixer.

The tall, imposing presence of the functional beauty creates the final "hurrah" in a stark, working chef's arena.

Whether within tall chrome piping or exposed with a coiled bracket keeping its curved shape, the pullout spray tap is revolutionary and highly practical for easy cleaning of pots and pans and areas around the sink. Diverters offering solid or spray action for heavy duty rinsing or gentle washing of vegetables can now be sourced in many stylish shapes and heights but are heavier on the pocket than simple mixers.

By combining usefulness with good looks, the tap as the original source in your kitchen can be a design signature.
